So I have decided that all schools in the country, abolish the constitution class and offer a political science class.’”

Journalist: “You’re very frank and cute! But why don’t you tell the whole country openly?”

Mao: “Speaking to the whole nation would not be deceptive. Now look, this speech of mine, is completely wrong, is against the trend of modern civilization. But 65 years have passed, and the Communist Party is still basically doing what I said. Nowadays, the Party’s instructions are still above everything, and the Constitution is nothing, and any talk about the Constitution is a waste of time. It is clear that the depth of my poison has entered the bone marrow of the Communist Party.”

Journalist: “Yes! Now Xi Jinping still do as you instructed?”

Mao: “Yes, Xi Jinping is a good student of mine. The U.S. Constitution does not move for 200 years, it is not amended, only amendments can be added. Our party’s constitution can be changed at any time, as the party master prefers. My first constitution in 1954, I don’t know how many times it has been amended since then, but it is decorative anyway, and it can be changed as much as you want. The U.S. Constitution is like granite, the foundation of the country.
